In the year 2525: esta é uma música à qual ningúem fica indiferente. Se não a conhecem, sugiro que não demorem mais tempo! A melodia é simples mas muito agradável ao ouvido (eu gosto :) ) mas o mais interessante é a letra. É uma letra intemporal, apesar do ano 2525 :). Prestem atenção à letra e vão ver que vos vai fazer pensar sobre a existência humana, qual Admirável Mundo Novo, Matrix ou Gattaca!
A música foi composta em 1969 pela dupla Zager and Evans, e chegou ao nr 1 do top US e do top UK! :D São conhecidas muitas covers desta música, das quais se destacam:

* Venice Beat
* R.E.M
* Fields of the Nephilim (disponível na edição especial do novo álbum Mourning Sun)
* Laibach (os Laibach fizeram a sua própria versão da música - mesma melodia, letra diferente)

Uma das covers que falta na lista é a dos Project Pitchfork, editada no primeiro álbum da banda, de 1991, de nome Dhyani.

Bem... acho que hoje vou sacar essa música do emule mais a versão feita pelos Project Pitchfork :)

Recentemente deu-me para voltar a pegar num disco "ao vivo" que gosto muito, o "Live 97" dos Pitchfork. Não é que tenha a tal versão, não tem, mas é um disco obrigatório a pegar depois de se ouvir o Dhyani por exemplo, com temas poderosos como Fire & Ice, K.N.K.A. ou em particular En Garde! Para quem gostar do género, é um disco recomendadíssimo! Chama-se Live 97, mas suponho que tenha sido gravado no ano anterior, já que a edição é de Janeiro do ano que dá o nome ao disco.
