O projecto XPQ-21 é um dos meus projectos preferidos de sempre. Têm excelentes músicas, em especial as mais instrumentais. Recordo-me que quando ouvi pela primeira vez, custou um pouco a "entrar no ouvido", mas fui persistente e de facto têm boas músicas e bons trabalhos. No entanto, com a saída da Nicque e com o lançamento do Alive em 2006, fiquei um pouco desiludido com a criatividade do projecto. Outros a colocar na mesma gaveta que os Apoptygma Berzerk: são bons até determinado trabalho (APB até Welcome to Earth e XPQ até Chi). Depois disso, é para ouvir mas deitar fora...

Recentemente lançaram na net um medley comemorativo dos 10 anos do projecto, mas que pessoalmente acho que podia ser melhor esse pequeno set. Bem, para colmatar essa falha, deixo aqui o meu primeiro de 4 sets dedicados a XPQ-21. Enjoy ;)

Muito se fala se o estilo EBM está ou morto. A música industrial está a seguir por caminhos cada vez mais harsh, por um lado, ou techno, por outro, e facilmente se consegue identificar os sons do início e os sons do final desta década. Mas acheios a estas "modas" estão ainda alguns bons projectos que vão buscar inspiração e sonoridade aos melhores anos do EBM. Projectos como Orange Factor, Menticide, Spetsnaz ou Jaeger 90 são bons exemplos disso. Como apreciador especial do género EBM genuíno, o chamado oldschool, já queria fazer um set deste género há muito tempo, mas com bandas "de agora".
